This walk from Millers green takes in Abberley Village, theManor Arms, Netherton Lane, Worsley House, Worsley Farm and Jacob’s Well. It takes about 2 hours.
After turning right twice as you leave Millers Green and having passed the Primary School you will come to Suffolk Lane after 400 metres.

After 300 metres you will see the Manor Arms in the village. Go straight past down Netherton Lane. You can come back for a drink later!

Opposite the pub is the older Norman church of St Michael.

You can get lunch at the manor Arms except on Mondays.

After another 400 metres you come to Crocketts farm entrance. Continue along Netherto Lane about 5 metres…

…and you will see a stile on the left.
|
After crossing the stile follow the left hand side of the field to the next stile.
|
Go down the lane and through the gate to “One Acre Cottage”
|
The path leads to the left of the cottage.
|
Follow the right hand edge of the field to the hop poles.
|
Here is the machine for harvesting the hops for making beer.

Follow up the past the poles looking for the gate on the right.

Here is the combine harvester stripping the hops.

Watch out for the gate on the right and go through it.

Walk diagonally across the field to the stile. In the lane go left towards Netherton House. You can see it in this picture.

After about 100 metres down the lane go over the stile on the left.
It leads to this stile on the right of the big oak tree.

When you get to this stile you will see two oak trees in line ahead.
Follow this line closely until you see the hedge.

AT first the next stile is hidden but if you move left along the hedge to the bigger trees you can see this gap.

Climb the hill towards this black and white cow. Do you think it will still be there?

Near the cow is a footpath marker post. Go past it and slightly right to the next stile.
|
Over this stile and you head for the dead tree on the horizon.

When you cross this stile you will be on the farm that belonged to great Grandad Juckes 50 years ago.

You can see the farm house and buildings in the distance. Walk towards them.

Join the track at the bottom of the field.
|
Over the cattle grid the public footpath passes to the right of the buildings.

Go up the hill to Oak Ash Barn. Rod and Annette live here.

Then follow the main drive back to the buildings of Worsley farm. It is just over a kilometre.
Then turn right on to Bank Lane and follow it about 300 metres.
Be careful of traffic!
Opposite an opening on the right you will find the public footpath sign and a gate on the left.

Go through the gate and follow the path across the field past the oak tree.

Pass the Christmas trees towards Abberley Hill.

AT the gate you can turn right and follow the road or go straight ahead through the fields and take the next path right.
